LOCAL ELECTIONS UPDATE, NOT COVERED ON SHOW - I had what seemed to be a great week with the campaign. Monday I went to the Warren Magnuson club meeting and cleared up some of the confusion as to my "progressive" credentials. Wendnesday I went to the League of Women voters candidate forums, where I had a great time and did very well. I was happy to find that I wasn't nervous or confused in any way. And today I met with the Spokane branch of the Sierra Club and worked on getting their endorsement for the race. Endorsements are a big thing in political races, so if you are part of any group that might endorse me, please contact me and we can start a discussion. Finally, the Inlander printed my response to their silly article from a couple weeks ago. All in all, a great week.

CALIFORNIA ISSUES IOU'S - This week the broke and unfinished budgets started pouring out IOU's to Californai debtors. So what exactly does one do with these IOU's? And what happens when everyone stops accepting them? Very scary and hard times. How can the government of California NOT fix their budget? And finally, will California's failure lead to the downfall of Obama's ecomonic plans?

SARAH PALIN CLEVER OR QUITTER? - Sarah Palin dropped another bombshell on the already beaten down republicans this week. Calling is a re-direction, not a retreat, Palin resigned as governor of Alaska. Her official reason is stated as a need to avoid bringing Alaska down with her as she fights the accusations against her. One has to wonder what all these accusations are. Or is there something more to this story?
