RE-USING SOME OF LAST WEEKS MATERIAL - We had an excellent interview with Tim Conner of Camus magazine and Center for justice last week. It was great, and Tim really had some good information on the future of news and journalism. BUT I had some intersting points that I thought needed discussed at some point. So this week is a smorgasborg of news and stuff!
SPOKANE POLICE A MESS - Speaking of Center for Justice, here is an interesting article on the state of the Spokane Police Department. The saddest news is that we might lose Chief Kirkpatrick, who I think is doing a good job with no help from the Police guild or unions. People need to speak out, and force change on our police department. Who works for who here?
SOME THOUGHTS ON EYMANS 1033 - And now for the article most likely to get me hate mail. While I think Tim Eyman and his initiatives are dumb, people need to think about the nature of what initiative 1033 is saying. Why do government budgets get out of whack? Because government spending is outpacing revenue. Revenue is controlled by the realities of inflation and economic growth. If spending is greater that inflation and growth, you have defecits, and broken budgets. Regardless, here is some other pro and cons for 1033 -

"AMERICA HELD HOSTAGE" - Must read article by Dylan Ratigan on the state, decay, and abuse of America. Ratigan speaks the truth, unlike most of the media. "OTHER" PARTY MEETING, Oct 20th, Tuesday, 6pm, Merlyn's, 19 W MAIN -
We will have the next meeting of the "other party" Tuesday, Oct 20th, 7pm at Merlyn's, 19 w main. This time we will spend about an hour figuring out how to get to the next step of creating a web site, and spreading the word. If there are any "Webby" people out there, we would love to have you join us. I'm interested in Blogspot and those sort of sites. And we will spend an hour just discussing any other ideas on how to fix the elections process.
Also, we would love to hear from any "card carrying" third party representatives to discuss their needs and ideas on election reform. Green's, Constitutionalist's, Libritarians and all that are all invited.
