This Friday we will cover -
FINALLY, SOMEONE IS "FIXING" THE BIBLE! - After 2000 Years in the making, finally someone is fixing the bible. Thank god that the guys at "Conservapedia" have seen that the almighty mistakenly included too much liberal thought and kindness in the bible. Conservapedia is dedicated to fixing it so that we modern people are safe from the errors of both the old and new testiment.
YOUR WAGES GO DOWN, BUT COLLEGE IS MORE EXPENSIVE THAN EVER! WHY? - If you or your family or friends are attending an institute of higher education, you will noticed that the costs are skyrocketing at the same time your income is falling. Why this doesn't make any sense, if inflation goes down, then shouldn't college costs go down. Of course you have to look at what they spend on, especially wages, benefits and health care costs. No one in the public sector sees their wages go down. They seem to live in a different world than you and I. Maybe someone needs to look out for the students and users of higher education instead of overpaid college workers.
"WAR ON TERROR", MAYBE A SMARTER WAY - Of all the people to come up with a great idea, Joe Biden surprised everyone with his comments and push to move our efforts to pakistan, and limit our exposure in Afghanistan. Reallizing that Al-Queda is in Pakistan, and Pakistan DOES have Nuclear weapons, why in the world would we waste a second, a dollar, or a life in Afghanistan. Focusing and lowering our costs and efforts , and geting out of Afghanistan is the only logical solution to an unwinnable war in Afghanistan.
PAY REGULATION FOR BANKS THAT WE TAXPAYERS SAVED - Finally government is looking at regulating the rediculous pay that banks have been paying, all while taking chances with America and stealing from their customers. Hey banks, WE SAVED YOUR ASS!! You all would have been gone and replacedd with real financial institutions if we din't bail you out. So stop crying about only making millions. It's all more than you deserve. Prison would be more fitting.
"OTHER" PARTY MEETING, NOV 17th, Tuesday, 7pm, Merlyn's, 19 W Main -
Thanks to all that came out last night for our 2nd meeting. We doubled in size even without a couple of our regulars. Highlights were having a city council candidate Mike Fagen come by and check it out, a name suggestion - "non partisan league...", and a refinement of the idealistic core goals of creating a "political" incubator with information and systems for new candidates, regardless of party. Another goal will be furthering the causes of campaign finance reform, transparency in government and elections reform. And we hope to do this in an inclusive format not distracted by discussion of divisive issues.
We will have the next meeting of the "other party" Tuesday, Nov 17th, 7pm at Merlyn's, 19 w main. This time we will spend about an hour figuring out how to get to the next step of creating a web site, and spreading the word. If there are any "Webby" people out there, we would love to have you join us. I'm interested in Blogspot and those sort of sites. And we will spend an hour just discussing any other ideas on how to fix the elections process.
Also, we would love to hear from any "card carrying" third party representatives to discuss their needs and ideas on election reform. Green's, Constitutionalist's, Libritarians and all that are all invited.
I made a facebook group, feel free to join and spread the word -
