LOCAL ISSUES, STA CUTBACKS, CITY BUDGETS AND ALL THAT - The Spokane Transit System is suffering along with the rest of the government with a broken budget. The city is short on funds and either has to cut spending or increase taxes. What can be done? What do you think?

NATIONAL ISSUES - The national debt, security, privacy, party politics and broken government are all on the table.

INTERNATIONAL ISSUES - Wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, foreign relations, nations building.

"Non-Partisan League of Spokane" MEETING, DEC 15TH, Tuesday, 7pm, Merlyn's, 19 W Main - We had our latest "Non-Partisan League of Spokane" (the new name) this last Tuesday. It's a good time to take in lots of diverse ideas and have a great political discussion. One of our main goals is the creation of a clearing house of political ideas, resources, tools, and other things that new, independent, or third party candidates could use to run for office.

Our next meeting will be Dec 15th, Tuesday at Merlyn's for an update on the web page possibilities, and a open discussion on all things political. Join us.
